TRAINING AND DOCUMENTATION SERVICES
All modern companies need a constant supply of correct,
up-to-date information. The guild provides an information and documentation
service on all subjects that may be of interest to our member companies.

Informative
circulars
The guild regularly sends out circulars containing summarised
information, easily classifiable, about all issues of interest to our members.
These circulars are concerned with the following subjects: general information,
foreign trade, training, aid and legal, employment, tax and environmental
information.

Website
The guild has taken its place in the world of new technologies,
with a website containing exclusive information for its members: economics and
statistics, imports and exports for customs headings, informative circulars,
collective agreements, etc. Particularly useful is our GUIA DE L'EXPORTADOR
TÈXTIL (Textile Export Guide), containing full information for textile
exporting companies.

Directories
Lists and directories are available of national and
international companies from the different textile and garment-making
subsectors, as well as of official organisations and bodies both national and
international.

Economic and
statistical data
Through FITEXLAN, the guild is a founding member of CITYC
(Centro de Información Textil y de la Confección). This is joint venture
provides information about imports and exports ¾ by country and customs
classification¾ employment, exchange rates, the consumer price index and other
economic and statistical data.

Library
The library service, newspaper archive and 'Gremi de Fabricants'
historical archive was created in 1949. The Library is in possession of more
than 11.000 volumes and the newspaper archive has near 200 titles, mainly of
textile and economic subjects. The Gremi is subscribed to different Oficial
Bulletins, that can be accessed freely.

Image campaigns
The guild regularly launches promotional and image campaigns for
the sector, seeking to improve perceptions of our industry both at home and
abroad.

ADVICE SERVICE
The guild provides legal advice services and guidance on
administrative formality procedures.
|

Foreign trade
General information and advice, information about markets,
market prospecting, legislation, administrative procedure, collective and
individual advertising, organisation and participation at fairs and on trade
missions. More specifically: coordination and implementation of sector image
and promotional campaigns in the main international promotional media;
organisation of participation by groups of companies at sector fairs and of
prospecting missions to gauge real sales potential in new markets; information
and advice on administrative procedure to begin exporting; information about
administrative management of foreign trade; information about markets;
information about legislation and tariff and non-tariff barriers to exports;
advice and procedure for obtaining aid provided for exporting companies by the
different administrations (European Community, ICEX, COPCA, etc.).

Employment and social
The guild sends out circulars to inform members about new legal
provisions regarding employment which affect companies and their workers at EU,
state and regional level. We also organise informative meetings about questions
that may be of interest to our members, providing advice about employment and
social security legislation, forms of employment and subsidies for employment,
holidays, working hours and, in general, all information about collective and
individual labour relations or conflicts. The guild's services specialise
particularly in questions relating to application of the Textile and
Garment-Making Industry Collective Agreement.
The guild also helps carry out formalities before the different
administrations, providing official forms and models and enabling members to
consult its extensive bibliography of principal legal publications and
jurisprudence.

Fiscal
General information and advice about tax and fiscal legislation
affecting the world of business, both state and regional. Our circulars provide
regular information about new provisions and modifications as they occur. We
also provide information about municipal taxation, particularly in Sabadell and
surrounding area.

Company Law
General information and advice about all provisions and
modifications. Advice on company obligations, types of company, formalities and
all questions concerning application of the Commercial Code or company law.

|
Environment
The guild's circulars also inform about new environmental
provisions at EU, national, regional or local level that may affect businesses.
Informative meetings are also organised on issues whose general nature make
them of possible interest to members. The guild provides advice on
environmental legislation, company obligations, subsidies, procedures before
different administrations and everything concerning the environment that might
affect the business world, making its bibliography and studies available to
members.

Aid and subsidies
Information and advice service on all aid and subsidies made
available to companies by EU, national and regional administrations ¾for
investment, environment, employment, research and development, marketing, etc.
We assist businesses in application procedure and monitoring.

guild provides extensive training services.

Courses, lectures and
seminars
The guild organises courses, lectures, round tables, seminars
and information sessions on economic, legal, business and textile industry
issues.

STORAGE SERVICE
The guild also provides large material and product storage and
distribution space, with stock control. This facility is 30,000 square meters
in size, with a 3,000 square meter courtyard, completely covered, at a
strategic, easily accessible site near the A-18 motorway.

Our database of jobs offered and wanted enables us to provide
specialists suited to companies' needs. Our services can even include aptitude
testing and selection.

TECHNICAL
COMMISSIONS
The regular meetings organised by our commissions enable
companies to exchange experiences and information and to promote initiatives.
Our commissions include those for weavers, spinners, doublers, heads of
personnel, export managers, etc.
These commissions provide a meeting point so that groups with
similar interests can discuss issues of common interest.
